Transgender Day of Remembrance honours the memory of those trans people who have lost their lives due to anti-trans violence. Presented by pflag of Halton. 13+

It is also an opportunity to learn of the resiliency and lasting contributions of the Trans communities, highlighting key historical moments, interweaving the border 2SLGBQ+ communities across Canada.

Much of the Trans and 2SLGBQIA+ history shared in popular media focuses on the United States—but Canada has its own powerful and inspiring stories to tell. This presentation highlights key moments, movements, and figures in Canadian Trans & 2SLGBQIA+ history, from early advocacy and legal milestones to contemporary activism and cultural contributions.

Whether you're just beginning to explore this history or are looking to deepen your understanding, join us for a session that both educates and uplifts. Presented with care for the observance of the day, insight, and a focus on Canadian context.
