Join us for our new monthly program designed especially for older adults! Each session offers learning, connection, and hands-on fun—plus refreshments in a welcoming space. 55+

This three-part session introduces participants to the powerful benefits of connecting with nature to support physical, mental, and emotional well‑being. The session flows from engaging education and real‑life testimonials to hands‑on interactive activities and concludes with practical skills for building a sustainable nature‑based wellness practice.

Part 1: Understanding Health Challenges and Nature’s Role
We begin by exploring common health concerns experienced by many older adults, including stress, low mood, sleep difficulties, reduced attention, and changes in physical ability. Participants are introduced to nature‑based therapeutic practices—such as forest bathing, meditation, and reflective journaling—and learn how these approaches can reduce stress, elevate mood, support cognitive function, and promote physical wellness.

Part 2: Practical Strategies for Everyday Access
Next, we focus on simple, accessible ways to experience nature’s benefits regardless of mobility, weather, or environment. Attendees discover adaptable strategies for incorporating movement and sensory engagement both outdoors and indoors, ensuring that nature‑supported wellness is always within reach.

Part 3: Building a Sustainable Mindful Practice
The session concludes with guided mindful exercises designed to help participants transform occasional nature‑based activities into a consistent, integrated lifestyle practice.

Please note that part of this session will take place outdoors, weather permitting.

Please bring a yoga mat (if you have one) for the meditation portion.
