Food Waste and Climate Change - the connection you didn't know about!
Is your green bin full to overflowing every week? Have you ever wondered how much food is wasted between the journey from farm to fork? Did you know that Canada’s 2.2 million tonnes of avoidable household food waste is equivalent to 9.8 million tonnes of CO2 and 2.1 million cars on the road?!
Join Halton Food and learn about the connection between food waste and climate change, then we'll discuss ways we can reduce food waste at home.
This program is a part of OPL’s Community Conversations Series – OPL’s commitment to creating a community that celebrates diversity, belonging, addressing difficult conversations, and helping build connections.
