Learn about biomimicry and how nature provides us with innovative solutions to design new products and technology! Ages 8-10

In this 1 hour virtual session, children in grades 3-5 will use the science of nature and biomimicry to design a robot. Participants will learn about biomimicry and how nature provides us with innovative solutions to design new products and technology.

Participants will engage in the creative task of designing a robot based on biomimicry using a variety of tools such as Robot Factory, TinkerCAD, Scratch, WeVideo, Biteable or Canva.

This session is brought to you by BioEndeavor-a non-profit organization focused on empowering youth, adults and educators through global citizenship, climate literacy, and the sustainable development goals driven by STEM.

This program is a part of OPL’s Community Conversations Series – OPL’s commitment to creating a community that celebrates diversity, belonging, addressing difficult conversations, and helping build connections.
