Learn about the circular economy and how you can move beyond recycling in this fun program for kids. Ages 7-10

In this 1.5 hour in-person session, children in grades 2-5 will learn about the circular economy and how they can move beyond recycling—that is, learning to repair, reuse and repurpose household items.

Participants will learn about circular design and what items can be reused and repurposed in their homes. Using old toys, children will then participate in a toy design challenge to creatively reuse and repair their old toys into new toys or household objects. Please bring an old toy or household item.

This session is brought to you by BioEndeavor-a non-profit organization focused on empowering youth, adults and educators through global citizenship, climate literacy, and the sustainable development goals driven by STEM.

This program is a part of OPL’s Community Conversations Series – OPL’s commitment to creating a community that celebrates diversity, belonging, addressing difficult conversations, and helping build connections.
