Join us for this virtual one hour presentation focusing on climate change and sustainability. Presented by Daniel Mutton PHD student from McMaster University.
Climate change is among the most important and pressing issue facing society today. It is an incredibly complex, multi-dimensional challenge that requires multi-disciplinary solutions. Sustainability, and being able to live and advance as a society in a sustainable manner is key among these solutions. This presentation seeks to inform viewers on the fundamentals of climate change and sustainability in both a global and local context.
Daniel is a second year Earth and Environmental Science PhD student at McMaster university studying under Dr. Altaf Arain at the McMaster Centre for Climate Change. Daniel works in atmospheric and hydrologic modelling and his research is based around coupling hydrological and biogeochemical models to general circulation models, and modeling carbon-water-energy exchanges in Canadian watersheds. Previously Daniel had completed a Bachelor's of Science in Geomatics at Carleton University, an Advanced Diploma in Remote Sensing at the Centre of Geographic Science, and a Master's of Science in Applied Geomatics at Acadia University working with the Applied Geomatics Research Group (AGRG) working in marine geomatics.
