What does your happy place look like?
The Oakville community is invited to join Toronto-based artist, Caroline Macfarlane, in a series of immersive, hands-on “happy place” workshops to create artwork that will become part of the of the Colour Connects installation at the Glen Abbey Branch of Oakville Public Library.
The visuals generated within the workshops will be digitized and translated into a large-scale digital mural and physical wall sculptures for the Kid’s Zone and outdoor patio space.
These workshops function as a laboratory of ideas in which participants can experiment with colour, form, and composition freely regardless of “artistic skill”. Expression in any form is welcome.
The workshops will be opened to groups of all ages and backgrounds. All are welcome.
Located within the Glen Abbey Community Centre in northwest Oakville, Glen Abbey Branch is Oakville Public Library’s busiest location and serves over 350,000 customers per year. As a community and cultural hub in north Oakville, the branch offers several rooms available for booking and hosts a variety of programming for all-ages that inspires creativity. Parking is free.
