​Drop-in to try out Virtual Reality and learn more about this ever evolving technology using the new Oculus Quest 2. Recommended for ages 13+.

Join us in person for a Virtual Reality social!

In this program you will learn the basics of navigating an all 3D environment with our Oculus Quest 2 headset. Using the wireless headset and touch controllers you will be able to load & play games as well as navigate through the metaverse.

As fun as Virtual Reality can be, there are some things to keep in mind. If you have any of the following symptoms please refrain from using this technology.

  • Do not use the headset when you are: Tired; need sleep; under the influence of alcohol or drugs; hung-over; have digestive problems; under emotional stress or anxiety; or when suffering from cold, flu, headaches, migraines, or earaches, as this can increase your susceptibility to adverse symptoms.

Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult to participate in this program.

About the branch

Located within the Glen Abbey Community Centre in northwest Oakville, Glen Abbey Branch is Oakville Public Library’s busiest location and serves over 350,000 customers per year. As a community and cultural hub in north Oakville, the branch offers several rooms available for booking and hosts a variety of programming for all-ages that inspires creativity. Parking is free.
